Describe the resistance before choosing a repair
A panel that drags along the full opening, catches at one spot or scrapes at the bottom gives different clues. Note which corner catches and whether the door still closes squarely. Cleaning loose grit is a useful first check; persistent resistance needs the rollers, track and panel alignment assessed together.
What an assessment should cover
The panel should be checked for stable support, the sill for damage and debris, and the closing edge for alignment. A repair proposal should explain the cause and the compatible component, rather than assume a new door is necessary. A damaged frame or unavailable hardware may change the options.
Prepare without removing the panel
Send a full-door photo, a close-up of the bottom track and the manufacturer label if visible. Mention grinding, recent damage and previous adjustments. Leave lifting or removing a heavy glazed panel to a suitably equipped professional.
