Locate the moisture
Wipe the accessible inside and outside surfaces safely. If the haze remains between panes, the insulated glass unit may have lost its seal. Surface condensation that wipes away is a different condition. Do not drill into or dismantle the unit.
Ask about a compatible glass unit
A sound door frame may allow replacement of the glazing separately. Measurements, glass specifications and the panel’s construction determine the options. A clear diagnosis is needed before deciding that the entire door must be replaced.
Compare the condition of the whole door
If the frame is distorted or other failures recur, request a comparison with full replacement. Ask what glass, removal, installation and warranty terms are included. Cleaning cannot remove moisture trapped inside a sealed unit.
